Holiday Bike Parade

“Gear up” for a spirited evening of the Hot Cocoa Holidays!

Presented by Village Cycle Shoppe

This festive parade begins at Cocoa Riverfront Park, makes two loops through the heart of the Village under the twinkling lights, and ends back at the park for hot cocoa, live music, a photo booth, and awards ceremony for the best decorated bikes!

Check-in: 5:00-6:15

Parade Starts: 6:30: Led by Santa on his penny-farthing!

Live music, awards, hot cocoa, and more until 9:00

Each person in your group needs to complete their own registration form below.

Pre-registration has ended.  Please register at the check-in tent. 🙂

Important Info & Rules

• This event is a favorite among families, but please only bring children who are confident bike riders.
• Santa will be leading the parade on his penny-farthing.  Do not pass Santa.
• Remember this is a PARADE, not a race, so you don’t win anything for going fast!
• Please prioritize your own and other people’s safety when decking out your bike.
• E-bikes are permitted on the basis you do not turn on pedal assist.

Check In & Staging

5:00 – 6:15 at Cocoa Riverfront Park

The check-in tent will be located on the north side of the Cocoa Riverfront Park bandshell.

If you are with a group, please have everyone get together in the grassy area and then walk over together to the tent.

After checking in, line up under the rotunda as shown on the map below.

Donations for the Children’s Hunger Project

The Children’s Hunger Project will be set up next to the check-in tent to collect food donations. Please reference the flyer below to bring what is needed. Thank you!

Judging

5:00-6:15

Get creative and decorate your bicycle with brightly colored lights, garlands, or other holiday decorations! Trophies from artist Lori Prell will be given out for the best-decorated individual, young family (for those with kids), adult group, best use of Hot Cocoa, and Best Cocoa Village Business.  Be sure to identify which award you are going for on the registration form!

Judges will be looking at all participants and selecting their winners during check-in and staging from 5:00-6:15.  Winners will be announced after the parade at the awards ceremony

Parade Starts

The parade kicks off at 6:30PM.

Santa and the Village Cycle Shoppe will be leading the parade.

The route is a little less than 2 miles and takes about 30 minutes.  It makes two loops before ending back at the Riverfront Park.

If you have young children, consider only looping once.

Awards & More

7:30 – 9:00

The parade ends back at Riverfront Park where we will enjoy hot cocoa from OSSORIO, a photo booth from Open Air, the awards ceremony, and a few words from our event sponsors.

Enjoy live music from Fred Cavese on sax, Pete Spoth as the DJ, and The Wax Phantom with an after-event performance in memory of Eva Marlow, the late owner of Village Cycle Shoppe and founder of the Cocoa Village Holiday Bike Parade.
