YOU MUST PROPERLY WEIGH DOWN YOUR TENT!
If you do not have proper weights on your tent, you may be asked to leave. This is to protect other vendors, attendees, and their property. It is especially important for overnight when you cannot watch or catch the tent if the winds are strong.
160lbs is recommended for a 10×10 canopy tent (40-50lbs per tent leg). Gallon jugs filled with water are not adequate. Tying your tent to your display tables is not adequate.

Spring Fine Art & Craft Competition:
March Fair ONLY
At the Spring Fine Art & Craft Fair we incorporate a Fine Art & Craft competition. All vendors are sorted into one of three categories: Fine Artists, Fine Crafters, or Contemporary Artisans (specific mediums within the broader vendor category is declared on the event application). All vendors are eligible to win awards and prize money.
Artist’s Responsibilities for Being in the Competition:
- All vendors must check in on Saturday morning to be considered for awards and prize money.
- At check-in, you will be given a vendor tag that has your business name and vendor category on it (either Fine Art, Fine Craft, or Contemporary Artisan) and a zip tie.
- This vendor tag MUST be displayed clearly on the front of your tent on either corner.
- Your entire body of work will be looked at by the judges, but you will have the opportunity to put forth one piece to be especially considered for a specific award.
- You must be able to explain your work to the judges and show them the piece you want especially considered.
About the Judges:
A panel of 4-5 judges will be scoring all vendors. Included on this panel is a professional painter, watercolor artist, sculptor/potter, jeweler, and woodworker. Judge’s bios will be shared on our Facebook pages in the coming weeks.
How the Judging Will Work:
- Begins at 11:00AM Saturday with a full walk-through of all booths
- Judges will then visit each vendor for a more thorough look at the overall body of work and the particular piece submitted for special consideration.
- Judges will be scoring each vendor on a set scale, with points given to overall composition and design, technique and craftsmanship, originality/uniqueness, professional presentation, and overall body of work / booth setup.
- The judging is estimated to take about 3 hours.
